Leaders in Training (LIT) Camp 2025

Camp Hours: 9:00am - 3:00pm
Registration Deadline: June 3rd
($15 Late Registration Fee is applied to registrations after June 3rd)

Our future leaders can enjoy up to 3 weeks of camp, each with a different focus, but all  include team building activities to hone their communication, problem solving and leadership skills… not to mention getting in on all the traditional camp FUN! This program goes beyond just camp and connects our older campers with their community. Weekly experiences or field trips are included with this camp and drop-off/pick-up locations may change based on daily activities around Highland Park. 

2025 LIT Experience List: 
WEEK 1 - TBD
WEEK 2 - LRWP Canoeing Adventure on the Raritan River
WEEK 3 - Runaway Rapids Water Park (Keansburg, NJ)

Late Fee:
After Tuesday, June 3rd, there will be a $15.00 late fee to register provided there is space available. Once registered for one or more weeks, you may add additional weeks if space is available without incurring a late fee. Create a pre-registration form and contact HP Recreation to add additional weeks. You must register and pay for those extra weeks by the Tuesday prior to the week attending. Registrations made after the Tuesday prior to the week's start date will not be accepted.

Meet and work with our community’s first responder teams, joint activities with HPPD's Youth Police Academy, learn how to respond to an emergency and build preparedness skills.
